A shade-grown Bourbon variety from the El Olvido estate, where one of El Salvador's first coffee trees was planted more than a century ago.

These beans are honey processed - an increasingly popular process in El Salvador and Costa Rica which results in some of the sticky, honey-like mucilage that surrounds the parchment of the seed remaining on the bean after the cherry peel is removed and the bean is dried. El Salvador boasts a great climate for coffee growing and especially for drying naturals and honeys.

This farm is located in the highest valleys of the San Salvador Volcano at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level and an area of 45 hectares. El Olvido Estate Farm yields only the best Strictly High Grown (SHG) Shade Grown Bourbon Gourmet Coffee.

Since 2010, the El Olvido Farm is certified Rainforest Alliance.
